Soul Care developed out of crisis

Soul Care developed out of crisis

During the pandemic, Black educators met in a prayer group to address spiritual issues. They came to the group with different experiences and backgrounds: Christian and secular colleges, parachurch campus ministry, and various church communities. Each week an individual shared a devotional and we prayed for and with each other. It was a gracious and life-giving practice.

What did we learn? The power of God, love, and community will encourage care for self, soul, and others.

This is a wonderful book!  I absolutely love this book because it is from the Lord.  I enjoyed "meeting" the writers and having the privilege to appreciate the great accomplishments in their lives.

This was beautifully put together and is a gift to all who read it.What a gift to have a devotional so well directed towards caring for the soul of Black educators!  As a Black educator I felt seen and was blessed by the thoughtfulness of this devotional.  I loved learning from the diversity of experiences and areas of expertise presented.  They helped me to more heavily consider how my soul is before the Lord in the work that I do and in just my being.
